Daddy, When I Grow Up I Want to Be a Real Blog! · 2:22pm May 13th, 2015
It is the bright, sunny afternoon of a beautiful spring day. Bloated blanched clouds more fluffy than a air-dried rabbit cruise at a calm pace over the sky. Summer is merely a month away, as both fowl and insect alike return from the darker days of winter.
A piece of paper sits on his porch. Rocking to and fro, with an older looking oak pipe tucked in the corner of his mouth. Legs lazily crossed, the paper relaxes is the shade. Carefree, and content.
A smaller paper, a third the size of the larger, approaches the big paper. "Daddy, when I grow up I want to be a real blog!"
The lager paper uncrosses his legs, planting both feet on the porch. The rocking ends, as he bends forward to reply to his son, "Really? Why, I think that's a splendid goal to have!"
"I know daddy!" The little paper replies with blossoming energy, "Is it true you were a blog once?"
The father paper nods, "Of course, son! But that was a long time ago, before all of these smaller -- less important blogs started being posted."
Stiffening his back like he was ready to provide a lecture, the paper continued, "Back in my day we had humor! We had images! We had lengthy paragraphs of information! None of this: Simple, straight-to-the-point garbage!"
"But," the father asserted, "you should never be hateful to the shorter blogs. Because that's mean."
"They sound like a bunch of jerks though!"
Slapping his knee hard, the father tossed himself back in hearty laughter, "Ain't that the truth? They are a bunch of jerks!"
Together, the two engrossed themselves is mirth. Boisterous, merry laughter, and it was a pleasant day for them both.
Hello everyone, it is I, Noakwolf. Here to bring you an assortment of Noakwolf news. Because, despite my lack of news, I have now something to discuss. Like many of the blogs I've posted previously, this one will contain the basics: where I am in writing, the progress of the new chapter, and my thoughts on the other stuff. So, sit back, please -- so that we return to your normally scheduled broadcasting.
First things first, how are you? Good, I hope. Recently, the new chapter was released to the public and I hope you enjoyed it. I struggled to figure out how the entire things would play out. Luckily, by a means of skillful editing, I have (at least I think so) overcome the bits that made it... messy. In the end, I think it came out well. Originally the chapter was supposed to have three extra scenes, but after careful consideration I decided to remove them. The ending product is what you see in the story.
What about the next chapter? What's going on with it?
Well, the negative prospect to this blog is that I have yet to tackle the new chapter in any way. I do plan to work on organizing the chapter within the coming days. (From today up until Friday.) Then, on the weekends I will commence the actual writing portion where I draft solid gold nuggets.
Aside from the alchemic word-to-metal thingamadoo, I'm the most nervous I've ever been writing a chapter. This is, as the Author's Notes said at the end of the most recent chapter, the end. Of course, there will be an epilogue, which I intend to post alongside the last chapter. Regardless, the pressure to make this the best it can be is on.
On another note, I did managed to write another story here on FiMfiction. *GASP!* Yes, it's a prequel to the Human's Guide to Life in Equestria. Instead of a guide, I wrote it as a legitimate piece with dialogue, descriptions, a narrative and all that junk. The whole story should be 5 chapters long, only 5k words at the most per chapter. So, what it would normally take me to write a chapter of Brotherhood is going to produce 4 chapters. That's like the entire story right there.
If I release it, and it is a big if -- I'll do so when it's done, then post them every 4-5 days. (Weekly updates I guess.) The story is a comedy and a parody of the classic human-in-Equestria set up. Covering the tropes, and silliness people seem to miss in those stories.
Despite the rather long entry, a lot is going to happen/is happening. So, as you could imagine, the blog had to naturally be this long. Everything that was needed to be said, has been said.
Yep, that's all folks. Well... for now, anyway.
Until next time.
Thanks!
