My Life (Shipper Val / Early Fare-thee-well Letter) · 10:12pm May 9th, 2015
So here's a little update on my current life and what's happening with the Marines. Today I had a shipper validation which is a thing where all poolees shipping out here in the next couple of months in my area get together and perform an Initial Strength Test (IST), a Moment of Truth (MoT), and then go over our packages once more. By the fact that I was attending means I am leaving for Parris here in the next month (June 15th as I have previously stated) and I don't think I will be finishing The Northern Winds by then. It will be a whole three months before anything gets done on it. I am sorry but that is how it is but you must understand that if I were to rush and get you the rest of the story by then it will probably be absolute crap. Quality and content. After I am done with Basic I will have ten days to relax in which I can get some work done but then its off to my MOS school, which will also take some time. So it gives me great pain to say this but after the next chapter goes out that's it for a long time. I will not be writing the next chapter until those ten days comes up. However, in the time between completing the chapter and departing to Boot Camp I will work on corrections.
On the upside, I had my first MRE today!
Mmmm Meatball Marinara.
Just kidding, it sucked. The cheese spread had the consistency of rubber. Like literally RUBBER! AND THE ONLY THING I COULD DO WITH IT WAS PUT IT IN BETWEEN MY TWO SLICES OF COMMUNION BREAD!
Here, have some "internet pony drugs" as I call it.
WARNING: Dirty talking horses.
