    Return

Hey guys, it's been a while. I'll keep a long and uninteresting story short. I needed a break, not really from writing, but from life in general. Writing was just one of the many things that had taken a seat during my reprieve. However, things have been getting better over the past two months and I think the time I've taken to myself has been more than long enough. I understand if some of you may

    Update

I didn't want to make a new blog post ever again, seeing as it was at 117 blog posts :P Anyways, I have an update ready to go for chapter three of the Guardian rewrite. I also wanted to mention that I have taken the chapter title from chapter two and am giving it to chapter three instead, as chapter three did not get as far as I intended.

    College

Hey guys and gals! Requiem here. I just spent my first night here at the University of North Dakota. The transition is going well, my roommate and I get along, and my schedule looks ok. The campus is pretty and there's lots to do, especially shopping, in Grand Forks. Not sure if I'm looking forward to the winter though. Snow is something I'm used to as a Minnesotan, but the legendary wind

Well, I had a good start in the month of April on writing chapter 6 of Nightmare's Weapon. Wrote over 700 words within 3 hours of dinking around. Then tennis really kicked off. I wish I could say that I was just lazy, but, if you didn't know, we have a state mandated test here in Minnesota called the ACT. It's a standardized test that colleges look at to determine whether or not you're smart enough to attend their schools and can get certain scholarships. Needless to say, my school was prepping us for the test over the month of April. Test prep and tennis absolutely drained me of all drive. Good news is that last week was when we took them and it was all over. A few days rest and I felt good enough to write another several hundred words today :) So, slowly but surely, progress is being made.

In other news, I attended my junior prom last night :D It was pretty fun and, while I didn't have a 'date' I still went with a friend of the opposite gender and a group of our friends and we had a blast. We actually spent the few hours between Grand March and the prom itself playing super smash bros XD And then we left the party two hours early to beat the traffic and drunk drivers....

Nah, we left early to go play more smash bros XD

Yep, my life in a nutshell. Better than a lot of other things I could be doing. So, with that, I've been investing an hour or so every few nights to start getting back into the pace of writing.

Nothing else here. I'll catch ya'll on the flip side. Req out~

Haha.:rainbowlaugh: Love that game. If only you had the handheld version.

Aaaaah, i remember my prom.
Nasty affair that was. :twilightoops: all kind's of things went wrong.

Smash bro's is brilliant. I've spent so many hours with it :twilightsheepish:

You doing Tennis tournaments or friendly's?

3043681 its high school competitive tennis. And bummer about the prom. Our music wasn't that great and drunks showed up, but the food and my company was nice XD At least I had that going for me. I wasn't initially going to go to prom, but my friend, whom is of the opposite gender, asked me to accompany her with our friends who coupled together as well. Smash bros aside, it was alright. Will definitely go to Sr. Prom though. There's only one after all.

At my prom, one of the "popular" girls and her friends were going to leave by helicopter, sadly it was canceled (for unknown reason) and she had to go home by taxi :rainbowlaugh:

Also, i hope you win your tennis games. from what I've seen in the media (not very much, considering i'm in england) Highschool isn't kind to those who fail. :twilightoops:

3045337 The media completely blows American high schools out of the water. I was so nervous when I was a Freshman, especially when I walked in and there was a guy pointing out Freshman while saying, "Freshies". Then, of course, my very first high school class of the day was General Metals where I was only one of two Freshman in there. Long story short, I soon learned that high school isn't that bad. People don't get slushied or thrown into trash cans etc. At least, not anywhere that I've heard or seen. And I've been around the block once or twice. The only big thing that I've seen was some kid had prescription drugs that were more than likely illegal judging from his character and actions alone in the locker next to mine. And that was in middle school XD Other than that, Minnesota is pretty peaceful. We aren't exactly the nicest to each other, but it's good enough and we are very friendly to outsiders. The only thing I've heard of is a school shooting in one of the Twin Cities a few years back. I have a friend who says school is pretty bad out on the East Coast. I guess you just have to be in the right place. Again, another reason why Minnesota is the best place on planet Earth XD

I haven't been doing to hot this tennis season :/ I didn't make Varsity either, just JV. It''s not bad, especially since I'm in the top ranks on JV, but it's a bit disappointing. There was a lot of competition for the 12 available spots on Varsity and ending up as 2 - 3 singles or 1 doubles on JV is a excellent spot to be. I even get rotated to 1st singles every now and again. I haven't been winning many of my matches, but the coach calls me a 'scrapper' because I don't give a single point to the other player/s. I'll bring it from 2 - 7 to 5 - 7 before I lose. I don't give up. But yeah, it's still a blast. I busted the strings on my racquet a few weeks back which was a bummer as I had played with it for three years. So, I had to use my heavier back up racquet which threw off my game a bit as I had to get used to it. And, just today, I inspected it and I think those strings are about to go too XD So I really need to go buy a professional racquet and get the others restrung.

Well, that was quite the tangent for what should have been a simple answer eh? :derpytongue2:

Blimey. well, he's hoping the new raket helps tip the balance so you can hit, Varsity (?)
Sounds like you're lucky with your school. most (if not all) english secondary schools have a drug dealer. i busted quite few when i was prefect :twilightsheepish:

Run! It's the po-po!

I remember you asking what Varsity was a few months back XD varsity is where the top athletes of a sport play. It's highly competitive and, even if your losing all the time, it is important to still work your butt off and stay better than those below you. Jv is the rest of the team pretty much, but even they have a limited number of spots. For those that don't actually place in Jv, they still play with JV but their score doesn't count and they play matches called exhibition. It's pretty much just a game made for the eyes if that makes sense.

No, no, you misunderstand. There are A LOT of drugs. Probably 70% of my school smokes pot. The thing is is that there is very little drug violence. Cops and the school cop is always busting people, but that comes with the territory. Teens will be stupid. It's also better that they do pot then cocain or something. That attracts violence. I don't do drugs because they will mess up your future. Xeno has told me a bit about how school is over in the mother land. I'm perfectly happy being a dumb American over here XD
