I finally got around at writing again and hopefully this time I can make use of it. Unless my writers block comes back to haunt me anyway. I've been quite away from my work. Video games, Cartoons, Season 5 hype and of course I've got Netflix. But more importantly, I've got around to my newest story...
That's right! Sonic Equestria Universe is being written. I have rearranged the plot to avoid confusion and I plan to make a long running series out of it.
Here's what you gotta know: This series is going to feature story arcs that contains some vital plot elements from both Friendship is Magic and Sonic. Between story arcs are going to be chapters that are episodic meaning each new chapter is going to have a different theme and story in them, whether it be 'slice of life' or 'comedy'. This series will also develop character arcs, so that each character representing the two series will have a chance to shine in the spotlight. My writing style for each episodic chapter will change though, so be wary of that.
Next up: The continuity timeline. It was really hard to pick where this story can take place, both the Sonic and MLP worlds. For MLP I am sticking to where Season 5 will kick off but the events of "The Cutie Map" haven't quite happened, so I thought it could be an interesting take on what the Mane Six will feel if they meet Starlight Glimmer, alongside the Sonic crew. Now for the Sonic series. *sighs* The Sonic the Hedgehog universe is so overly complex. Why? There are just so many canons in the series. The games, the comic books, the cartoons and... that anime. Yeah, I know. Some people only follow the games but there are so many interesting ideas here and there, even Sonic Boom had some ideas (the show not the game). So guess what? Sonic's timeline will be in the games continuity, with some of the comic book's elements planted in there. The new Sonic comic books are now closer to the game's canon but they don't really contradict the whole storyline. I'm sticking to after the events of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Advance 2, there I can formulate with how Shadow could have been handled in the games that came after.
I just got done finishing my first chapter. Sonic wakes up in Equestria after suffering a near fatal attack by Dr. Eggman. Sonic must figure out why he was summoned but also, protect Equestria from something darker coming.
I'm really putting some thought into this. I am hoping to put this up by early May and if not... blame my writers block. Anyway, I hope I gave you guys something to read about. I'm gonna go watch me some Daredevil. SEE YA!
