My Interests part II · 1:06am Apr 29th, 2015
Ok, in hindsight, it was probably a bad idea for me to make a long blog post at 10:00 pm, so here is the rest of it.
3. Halo
See, I never liked first person shooters before I first played Halo, and even now I don't play any FPS games other than it. So, I had my xbox for a long time, and I heard about how revolutionary Halo 2 was, but I still disregarded it, which is a decision I hate myself for making. After the 360 came out, and I found out that Sonic Heroes worked on it abide a few audio bugs, I sold my xbox to get a 360. I was going to by Sonic 06, but I'm the guy who NEVER pre-orders anything unless I'm very exited about it and it has a great deal of cool stuff if you pre-order, I know, I"m wierd. So I read the reviews on 06 and then looked at other games. Later, I heard about the hype overload on Halo 3, and thought " Ah what the hell, It looks ok". And WOW was I impressed, and had my ass kicked to the Moon and back like 10 times, but it was still fun. I played the crap out of Halo 3 and then Reach. I dabbled with Halo 4 a bit mainly for the campain, but the fact that everyone had sprint along with another armor ability turned be off. I did laugh my ass of once when my friend shot me with the Scorpion Tank and the shell BOUNCED off my hard-light shield and blew his own tank up.
Then there was MCC, I did pre-order this one, but due to its crappy as hell launch, I didn't get reliable playlist access untill about 2 months ago... So I played all the campaigns and many custom games with my friends I knew IRL and online, and had a blast. I'm far from being a rank 50, but I'm still a player you can count on in a fight, especially with the sniper (Somehow I got a Killionair with that thing once) and damn is it hard to head shot with it in Halo 3.
So, yea. those are my 3 main interests, I have many other smaller ones, feel free to ask what they are. Oh, and I like writing fan fiction too if that wasn't obvious (It should be!)
What are your thoughts on Halo 5: Guardians, so far?
3027348 mixed. I never liked having sprint and an armor abilty together, but the fact that everyone has the same thruster pack armor ability makes it even, and I'm cool with that. Also, the ground pound is hard and situational enough to be balenced in my eyes, and pulling it off is SOOO satisfying. I do like the clamber thing, means less fooling around with crouch-jumps. Also, I'm not a big fan of the ADS, but I've played Destiny to the point were I can handle it, but why is it on the AR, and for that matter, why does the AR and SMG bounce around like a jack-hammer, you are a bucking Spartan after all!
3027373 Interesting. I'm quite excited for it myself. As for the supposed ADS, I'm one to assert that it's not actual ADS, its just the traditional scope system but reskinned. Largely cosmetic. When not using it, Spartans are not "firing from the hip," their character models are always consistently aiming their weapons when not using armor abilities. COD/Battlefield terminology has been contaminating the entire first person shooter for the past two years.
Story-wise, I already know that it will be kickass.
3027393 Oh, ok, but still, those things bouncing like jackhammers and it distracted the hell out of me. And ah yes, the story, I'm a nut for Halo lore, The fact that I watch every video Halo Follower puts out twice at least makes it obvious and then some.
3027414 Indeed. I could go on for hours about Halo lore and history, myself.
