Ah!- I've been renewed of late with my love for writing, a spark bursting into a mighty flame.

This week shall be dedicated towards my writings, I have an large open window this week.

So shall I catch up on my to do list, my loyal follower's?

One I shall check off now, shall be my promised Spotlight Series.

Here in a Blog I shall Spotlight Fic's I feel need to be looked into, they dazzled me with their flair and perhaps they shall do the same for you.

That said this mornings suggestion shall be a lovely horror story by Scourge012.

I noticed this fic a small bit ago- not long at all to be quite honest.

I walked into the fic expecting a story that I would be able to guess every turn at a whim.

My,my,my- Was I wrong.

This fic is something wicked I tell you, it starts with a filly Twilight fearing what we might have all feared in our childhoods-The Night and The Darkness it brings.

The filly haunted by figments of her imaganation.- The scene is done well enough, writen in such a way you feel drawn into the P.O.V of Twilight herself.

As the story progresses Twilight is given a gift from her mother, hand sown and made with love- Mr.Smarty Pants. ( And yes Cannon states SP is female, but let's not dwell on what is what.). Twilight falls in love with the plush toy instantly, Smarty doing his job for the night's to come by scaring away and "ahem" slaying the monsters.

This is the part where this story shines!- Such detail to the bond between child and toy - I had fun reading every word.

The true devilish delight comes though when Twilight looses a baby tooth.- Smarty innocently ask's for it and the child doesn't refuse, soon as time passes Smarty hungers for more and more teeth.

The child not knowing where to find more after using up her resources, denies the toy which in turn allows the monsters to creep back into our Fav Adorkable Mares mind once more.

Scenes filled with tense hauntings, vivid detail and all around chill's follows.

I would say more.- But as a fellow reader and a lady.

I shall not ruin the chilling ending for you all.

What I can say is this, Mr.Smarty Pants is a delightful read.

Filled with chill's that we each can relate to, the monsters that haunt us through our lives and the guardians we place to sheild us from what we think is wicked.

The detail written within the tale is well done, it keeps you locked in place and never drags.

You will keep reading till the dark end.

Pacing is fabulous, as said you will be drawn into the world Scourge has set up for the reader.

The overall story reminded me of haunting tales from my teen years, a nostalgic stroll through my memories was quite enchanting.

I feel any reader who in their youth had read, ghastly horror tales back in the day- will feel the same.

You will be reminded of horrors of your past, as well as get a chill in the present.

Which in this case is a very delightful thing.
