This one, to be exact, when a thought occurred to me.
...wouldn't the CMC's situation be so much better if, I don't know... Somepony straight up told Filthy Rich that his daughter is being a stuck-up, entitled brat who is bullying other fillies on the playground, or, you know, everywhere?
I mean, in his limited screentime, he's come off as a sensible stallion to me.
Not to mention one of the fillies she's bullying is the youngest daughter of the Apple Family, one of Barnyard Bargains' main suppliers? One of the most powerful families in Equestria? (Face it, if the Apples wanted to, they could just hoard their produce and cause mass famine to get what they want if need be.) Oh, and Zap Apples. As far as we know, Sweet Apple Acres is the only farm in Equestria that can grow them. It's a crop that is a huge profit for both parties, and I'm sure Applejack could find somepony else to sell it to if it meant sending a message and defend her sister. She's done worse in AB's defense. We only have to look at Somepony To Watch Over Me for proof.
So even if Filthy Rich isn't honorable, which I am fairly certain he is, his sense, which I'm certain he has, would not allow Diamond Tiara's bullying to continue so overtly. ...and of course, Silver Spoon the lackey wouldn't oppose the CMC alone. Of course, we need an annoying antagonist for the foal characters, so it's not going to happen, but I'd like to see Diamond Tiara's face when daddy says "No."
Think about it.

I'm more concerned by the parallels your previous comment brought up. I also wonder what the brat patrol will do once the CMC get their marks... probably gun for other soft spots, like in Flight to the Finish, honestly.
