I did nothing today other than sit around and now I'm all hyper!!!
Sorry, had to get that outta me. Anyhoos, before I put The Manehattan Crusaders on hiatus, I started writing the next chapter but never finished it. Since it's been way too long since I've done anything with this story, I thought I'd give the few people who actually care about it something to look forward to I guess. So, here's what I have so far for the next chapter of The Manehattan Crusaders, "Into the Everfree".
Spoiler warning, dur.
Darkness. It was all the little colt saw as he galloped into the forest. He had no idea where he was going. All he knew was that he had to hide. As he ran, the only sounds he heard were that of his heartbeat and his hooves pounding against the dirt path. Looking back to see nothing but plants he had passed, Sky began to slow his pace. He slowed down to walk and tried to catch his breath. When his eyes fell to the ground beneath him, the shy colt noticed that the path was fading as he continued into the dark forest. He stopped. Upon turning around, Sky's eyes searched for any sign pointing to the presence of another pony. Finding none, his ears dropped back, and the frightened colt began to call quietly for help.
Soon realizing that nopony could hear him, even if they were there, Sky began to shout louder and louder. About a minute passed, and nopony came. Sky began to get worried and sat down, having stopped his shouting. He looked around, quietly listening for a sound. As the minutes ticked by, the little colt became more and more frightened. He wanted nothing more than to curl up into a ball and hide. Nestling his muzzle in his front hooves, Sky looked up towards the path. Though faint, it was still able to be seen. Noticing this, Sky got up and began following the faint trail back the way he came.
Not long after he started back, the path became more visible...
Dat be all I'z got for now. Like I said, the chapter isn't finished, and I don't think that I'll be finishing it anytime soon. Thanks to the people who actually read this story.
I'll just place my hype here.
2975169 I'm not planning on finishing this chapter anytime soon. Just thought you'd like to know that.
2975175 You cheeky devil! Giving us all a sneak peek and then making us wait forever and a half! Wait a minute...this is all too familiar........*GASP* Meghan MCcarthy!
2975200 I actually started writing this story in August but didn't publish it until November.
And this story is on hiatus for a reason.
2975205 Sure thing, Soprano McCarthy. Sure thing.
2975206 Hey, school just don't like meh.
Today Hasbro aired the "Bloom and Gloom" episode. At the opening of it, there is a letter from Babs "confirming" her cutie mark, which is a pair of scissors. How do I feel about this? Mixed feelings for me!
On one hand, this appears to be Hasbro's attempt to throw your story, titled The Manehattan Crusaders, right out the door by slapping a cutie mark on Babs in a totally unprecedented and unexpected manner.
On another hand, I always imagined her growing up with a show business career, so maybe this career could benefit from the cutie mark. Maybe in one way or another Babs could sing to customers who attend her barbershop and one day someone may discover her doing so and sign her to a big record company. (Similar to real life - Tony Bennett got his first contract with Columbia when an agent there discovered him as a waiter who sang to customers - at 88, Bennett has no plans to retire from show business any time soon.)
2993824 I haven't seen the episode yet, but since I started writing the story in August, I'm going continue writing it as if she still doesn't have her mark. Besides, even if she did have it, I believe she'd still be part of the group.
