Sorry for the long hiatus · 2:01am Apr 6th, 2015
Hey guys and guy-ettes...
I am sorry it takes so long for me to update these days. Part of the reason is, as happens sometimes, I lost my muse and couldn't get inspired to write. I had a paragraph consisting of two sentences, and I would sit and stare at it, knowing that while I probably could write if I were forced to, it wouldn't be quality stuff. It would just be me writing a transcript of Return of the Jedi if anything, and I didn't want to bore you with a retelling of the same story.
Another reason is that I've gotten two jobs since the last update, one after the other, and they've both consumed a ton of my time and energy. Try tossing 50 pound bags of clothes at Goodwill around for six hours and then come home and try to write... it's not easy. In addition to that, I also am in school, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering, as I've said before. My schedule is lighter this time around - only 6 hours, bare minimum to maintain my deferment status on my student loans - so I can try new techniques for studying to maintain my focus and retention. This is also eating up my free time. And icing on the cake is that I'm in Creative Writing, so almost all the writing time I would normally have is being used for school projects instead of writing Star Crossed Ponies.
But I'm still working on it. I actually managed to write two pages today (Woo-hoo! Go me! :D ) and I'm going to work on some more later. Maybe I'll get this chapter knocked out sometime within the next couple of weeks. Hopefully. Fingers crossed!
Take all the time you need. I'm very eager to see the next chapter, but I know RL always come first, so don't force yourself too much.
