Possible plot hole?

So, I'm watching the S5 premiere (because I was at a convention all day and am just now getting a chance) and I noticed something that I think might be a plot hole.

So, the Mane 6 are locked up in the village's jail with an annoying speaker blaring stuff that's just a short hop away from becoming communist propaganda. We're told that the only way they're gonna be let out is if they accept the village's BS.

Um, they realize Twilight is a princess, right? This isn't S4 where she's got the wings, horn, and crown, but doesn't know if she's a princess or not, she is a full-blown, honest-to-god princess now. I'm pretty sure Celestia and Luna would notice if they didn't hear from Twilight in, oh, let's say a week. And Spike damn sure would get worried if Twilight didn't come home soon, and would probably notify them, decreasing the chance that they wouldn't notice. I'm pretty sure those two would organize a planet-wide manhunt (or marehunt, as is the case) for the Mane 6, and they probably would find them. And then what's Starlight Glimmer gonna do? Try to steal the cutie marks of the two most powerful ponies in Equestria? Pretty sure that wouldn't work, and even if it did, she would still have to contend with legions of royal guards.

But nope, apparently Twilight has forgotten about becoming a princess.

EDIT: Just finished watching. They still never brought up the possibility of someone noticing they were gone.
