    Standing the Heat Progress

Let me just start this post by saying sorry. I know it's been a long time since my last update, 4 months in fact. But in my defense during that time I've moved and started a job, not that it defends much since a good weekend was all this chapter really needed. Yes, the chapter is hard at progress, and about half way through, if not more at the time of writing. I just hope it's good enough to make

Looking for someone/people to read WIP chapter for opinions.

Okay, so last time I posted a blog post, I mentioned how it wouldn't be long for my next chapter update for Standing the Heat. Turns out that was 3 months ago and I'm a huge liar. Well not a liar perhaps, it's in progress and coming along and that's the exact purpose of this post. Am currently looking for a couple of people to read the WIP chapter over the next few days to make sure it's okay

Pre reader wanted for next Standing the Heat chapter

So, it's been a couple of months since my last update for standing the heat but have no fear the next one is on the way. It's been a bit difficult for several reason but not least among them is a love scene I wanted to get just right. To that end, I really want a reader or two who's willing to read the chapter early and give me some opinions on the scene, where it's going and any suggestions they

New series is great *spoilers* · 4:27pm Apr 4th, 2015

So I put spoilers in the title, but just in case of babies. I'll spoiler the rest of the post.

So I thought MLP couldn't actually get much better than the season 4 ending, with an epic fight scene and a great premise and a good song to go with it. I thought the season 4 was one of the better episodes (Ignoring the stupid models of their rainbow powers). But now MA Larson, the writer for the season 5 opening had to give us a darker opening than I could ever have expected from a my little pony episode.

From dealing with the heavy subject of brainwashing, to a powerful brand of magic which not only steals the cutie mark, but also shackles and suppresses the ponies natural talents. This episode was dark and gritty indeed. Did I forget to mention this is the show I've been bullied for watching cus it's aimed at little kids? Because Kids would have totally understood all the depth of the episode...

They even went so far as to have Fluttershy's timidness and the fact she's afraid to offend ponies be a relevant plot point.

Also, I don't know why, but the fact Applejack can't speak southern without her mark is just adorable.

Anyway, I'm not sure what people's head canon is going to be about the magic presented in this episode. And I'm sure I'll disagree with some of it, since you know, I'm the person who disagrees with the whole Changelings are insects who need love to survive.

In my head canon, changelings eat food like normal ponies, except their magic is powered by love, a point supported by the whole love of shining armour giving her the power to fight and beat Celestia. Not that I'd force anyone to follow that canon of course.

So anyway, I hope the rest of the season can keep up with the quality of this episode, because I'm hyped.

PS. I just had to mention that this is the first time in 5 seasons of the show that they went out of their way to have the whole town singing a song make sense as a plot point... It was an actual orchestrated piece for once. Bravo Hasbro, bravo.
