Between Writer's Block, job hunting, laziness, and ideas for two other stories, not much progress has been made on the story I've already got up. To apologize, here are a couple samples from the other stories that refuse to shut up 'till I write at least two full chapters each.
First, a quote from a (human) mad scientist some time in Equstria's history:
“DO YOU DEAD GUYS MIND?! I'M TRYING TO READ HERE!”
Yeah, I know, "HiE! WTF were you thinking!?"
I write what I want, that's what. 
For the other, well... Anything I put here would must likely give the whole thing away, so have a Noodle Incident!
...she got Discord to be Best Mare...”
An orange mare with a Stetson turned to said chaotic being, “I still don't get how that works.”
“I know. Isn't Chaos wonderful?” Discord responded.
Not much, I know, but it's all I can put here without giving the whole thing away... or risking torches and pitchforks.
Here's to hoping I can get the next chapter done.
