Savior of Eternity | Revision and Reworking · 1:37pm Mar 27th, 2015

Like the title says, I'm going to start working on revising Savior of Eternity's story. Why, you ask? Well, I'll tell you...

I had originally written a vague outline for how it was going to be written. The original idea for Savior of Eternity was that it was going to be around 45 to 50 chapters and broken up into three parts (the usual case for my previous fictions). I'll also be shortening the fiction and cutting out the middle (2nd part) of the story. I will more or less replace it with a shortened retelling of it, or at least its ideas. I won't be rewriting any already posted chapters unless I make a blog post about the changes. This wouldn't be the first time I decided on shortening the series as a whole. Savior was originally going to be split into two books: Secrets of Eternity and Savior of Eternity. Secrets would focus on the war and [spoilers], while Savior would focus on [spoilers].

:trollestia:

Why are you doing this, you ask? Well, I'll honestly speak my mind...

I have absolutely fallen out of this fandom. It's not that I hate it, or what's it become, or any other outside force wavering my opinion. It's just that my interests have simply... faded, I guess. It didn't happen overnight, or even over the course of a month, specifically, the flame began dying around the end of Slave of Eternity. When I began writing Savior, I really couldn't get back into the groove of writing for this story, or any MLP story that would later be written (see The Entheogenic Excursion). On a brighter note, this doesn't mean I have fallen out of love for the best pony. She'll always have a place in my heart...

:pinkiehappy:

At this moment, you may be confused. Secrets says one thing, then he says something contrary to it. I'll spill the beans here and say that I want to complete this fiction, but it won't be the way it originally was planned to end. That's not necessarily a bad thing or a foreign concept in writing. Many well-known writers do this, but in no way am I using this as an excuse. I've simply ran out of creative will-power to complete this work, but I will complete it, even if it isn't up to my past standards. I'm shortening the length so I can at least finish what I started, get the ending I want and have planned from the very beginning.

Now, the first thing I need to do is to reread (or diligently skim) both Son and Slave, and take notes on what plot points there are for the ending so that I won't have plot holes in the future.

This won't be too fun... :fluttershyouch:
