Help. Help, help, help...
How does a chapter - a simple chapter, mind you - go from a 500-word outline to 3,000 words, then to 7,500 words, then back down to 5,600 words, then to over 10,000 words, and all in just a day or two? I'm wandering, blindly wandering in the dark and I've lost my way...
I know we just met, and yes, I know it sounds really, uh... really forward of me, but, um... Oh gosh, I don't usually do this...

Ahem. Would anybody be available to look Chapter 13 of Glim over and point out where I'm going wrong? I'd love it if you can 
Flttrshy did a stellar job for me on an earlier draft, but she's away for a few days and I would LOVE one more amazing prereader who could take half an hour or so out of their time to offer any tips.

i've been told i have a good eye, never pre-read before but i could give it a shot

Never pre-read before, BUT I do have a good eye for detail and mistakes.
I've also read OVER ONE MILLION WORDS in 4 weeks

but now i cant find any good storys to read 
223912 I avoid reading anything with human or alternate universe(which roughly half of the fics on here)
I also have at least 3 fics on my read later list and roughly 15 or so uncompleted stories in my favourites.
I also assume I haven't read all of the good fics, unlike yourself
If you need an extra pre-reader, I've been told I do a good job.
223917thats true i also dont read HiE fics , only read 2 and 1 i ddnt like it very much the other one its nice till now, all of the good storys are uncomplete like glim and a lot more that i just cant wait to read the end,
im triying to write a story but i sat on the computer wrote like 55 words and i dont know what else to write, im not much of a writer, but i love to read

223926 wow I've pretty much favourited all the fics I've read which is only 44 in total and 26 are uncompleted
223934 i have only like 35 in my favourited fics and like 28 are uncomplete, i have read a lot but i only fav those that really get to me,like not my destiny that was the first one i ever read and it really got to me. i have read a lot of short ones and some other and like i told you i have 107 in read latter probably going to go down to 90 by friday when i read them

223954 well i read pretty much anithing with a good plot, i like twidash fics, alicorn transformation fics, love sad fics, vampony ones, pretty much anithing that has a good plot and can entretain me, also clopfics
but they need to have a story not just clop

It seems that you are taking a page out of shortskitsandexplosion's book. At some points he churns out 20-30k word monoliths on a weekly basis. I would love to be a pre-reader if you still need one.
