It seems I'm not capable of writing a bio without sounding really pretentious, so I'll keep it simple.I write pony-fanfiction. That is all.

Help me write an academic paper?

It's been quite some time since I posted a story/blog, so I'm not sure how many of you are still out there, but I need your help.

Many of you know that I'm currently an undergraduate student. At the moment, I'm conducting some rather intensive sociological research, and it just so happens to heavily involve brony issues and demographics.

    A Little Non-Pony Fiction Fun

Well, it's been a long damn time, ain't it?

It seems like years since I wrote anything for the fandom (because it has been!); I've (unfortunately) been busy doing non-pony-related things, but I did crap out an out-of-fandom short story a few days ago that I thought I would share for you guys for old times sake and for giggles.

    Community emergency - read immediately

If there are any of you that follow me that haven't heard about this yet (I just learned about it today), one of the herd is in serious danger. Michael Marones recently attempted suicide after endless bullying over his interest in Friendship is Magic. Like a lot of us here, he's a relentlessly dedicated pony. Being ADHD, he

An update on the Prompt Roulette stories · 3:48am Jul 10th, 2012

So, just a little while ago, I decided to play "Prompt Roulette," and you guys gave me some wonderful ideas. However, djthomp's pet shop idea has sent me into overdrive like nothing in the world. I've been putting off working on this story for a while, though I don't know why. Today, I finally sat down at Starbucks and told myself, "Dammit, Josh, you're going to work on this story if it kills you."

That was at 1:29 pm. Two and a half hours later, I was 4,500 words deep, and I only stopped because I was out of money and I wanted more coffee. As it stands, the story is right on track to finish at my projected word count (somewhere between 7,000 and 8,000) in a couple of days. In a word, I am holy-crap excited about this.

So depending on the speed of my editors and reviewers, this story is probably going to be ready for posting within a couple of weeks. That is, assuming it doesn't require ridiculous amounts of editing (which has happened on more than one occasion). But hey, I figured you guys might be interested in hearing the status.

Before I go, here's a little note about the tone of the story. You guys probably remember that typical style is to try to tear a reader's soul out through their tear ducts, but I decided to go in a much different direction with this. I've been aching to write an "episode style" story for a long time now, and that's just what this is. It's meant to be read for the same amount of time as an episode of the show, and the content is the same sort of thing you would expect from Friendship is Magic. So all of you who were hoping to see me write a "slice of life" story: it's coming.

-T.H.

PS: For those of you who keep asking about the sequel to A Rose Reverie: it's coming; I promise. I just don't want it to flop, as is the case with so many sequels, so I'm being cautious with it.

PPS: This gentleman did an excellent reading of I Might Have Been, which actually includes some music at the really emotional part. He put a lot of work into this, so I'm sure he'd appreciate a listen if you've got the time!

I'm really looking forward to the sequel to ARR-no matter how long it takes.
How on Equestria do you write like that? I can't make myself write more than three thousand without bribing myself, which is quite complicated.

Reading of I Might Have Been with emotional music? Who is this man and why is he trying to kill us all?
