Wave's working again, but on what? · 12:40am Mar 4th, 2015
Yep, as I said on the last blogpost, I'm going to (metaphorically) take the pen again on a couple of one-shots before fully retaking my major fics. The five of them.
So, what's the first one-shot? This one:
Atomic Knight, the Hero of Tomorrow
Knighthood, an old concept from even before Nightmare's fall, now it's all but forgotten. But a new era calls for a new hero and maybe knighthood is just what the modern world needs. The Age of Discord had the Pony Sisters as its saviors and heroines. The Age of Harmony met new bearers of the Elements and it's new protectors. But the worlds keeps moving, and a new age is coming.
Magic held Equestria for generations, but now technology is finally catching up. Steam and gears are slowly but surely replacing spells and crystals, the engineer is taking the sorcerer's position and belief is making way to reason. The Age of Wonders has begun, welcome to the world of tomorrow.
And a new Age means that a new hero will rise. Who is this new champion of the oppressed and defender of the defenseless. Who will? Who?
Who?!
Enters the Atomic Knight. He comes, he sees, he conquers.
And here's the first scene:
"Ten... nine... eight... seven... six... five... four... three... two... one... Liftoff."
The rockets roared, being heart over all the place. It was the first piloted ship sent to orbit, the first kick to an entire revolution of technology and thinking. [classified], the bravest griffon alive, was now sitting over a sh*tton of explosives going off at the same time, accelerating his little space capsule to over eleven thousand meters per second. Escape velocity.
In some minutes, [classified] would become the first living being to journey into outer space, without magic. He/She was going to make history, not only for the Griffon Republic, but for all of Equus. It was the event of the month, the year and the decade. The first point in the recorded history where an achievement of this magnitude would be reached without relying on forces beyond mortal comprehension. So naturally, everyone over the planet had their eyes and ears glued to the closest radio/TV around, using all their brain power into focusing on what was happening.
Opinions, corrections, menaces? Let me know.
You have my interest, Wave. Let's see if you can make it into my hall of approval again!

Will have to work hard for that.
2847766 It's easy really. Just make something I like.
...
On second thought it's really darn hard.
