I LOVE My New Job. · 5:21am Feb 18th, 2015
Let Me Tell You Guys A Story.
About Three Years Ago I Attended "The Fabulous Food Show" In Cleveland Ohio. I Was A Sophomore In High School When I Met A Great Chef Who Inspired My Love For The Culinary Arts. Chef Michael Symon. Co-host of ABC's "The Chew", The Man Is Great. I Actually Had A Conversation With Him At The Show. We Discussed Basically The Importance Of Food And How It Can Ring About The Culture Of Which Part Of The World You Are In And So Much More. His Passion For What He Does Is What Actually Got Me Cooking And I Discovered I Had A Knack For It. I Had Such A Blast That I Dedicated Much Of My Time Learning How To Cook. I've Cooked For Family Parties And Recently My Friends 20th Birthday. I Made Grilled Rib-eye With Wisconsin Havarti Fondue (CLICK HERE FOR THE RECIPE). All The Rib-eye Was Gone Within Moments So Every One Started Dunking Pretzels And Other Foods Into The Fondue.
After I Was Out Of High School I Got A Job At A Fast Food Restaurant. I Was Hoping I Could Start Off Somewhere And I Figured "Why Not A Place That Sells Food?". The Job Was So Bland And So Dull That It Actually Bored Me To Tears... I Wish I Was Joking. I Started Last September And I Was Not Getting Many Hours. It Eventually Got To The Point Where I Was Getting 2 To 5 Hour Weeks. I Was Fed Up But I Did Not Quit Because I Was Looking For A Better Job. I Finally Got The Opportunity I Was Looking For. A Local Restaurant Was Hiring For A Cooking Position. I Applied, Had An Interview, And Was Hired. I Quit My Old Job The Next Day. Tomorrow Will Be My 6th Day On The Job And I Love It.
Thanks To Chef Michael Symon I Will Never Quit In My Pursuit Of A Culinary Career. I Expect To Hold This Job For Awhile, And I Will Never Stop Loving It.
I Would Have Gone On Longer But It's Getting Late. I Will Leave You With An Interview of Chef Michael Symon Done By CoolCleveland Magazine And Michael Symon Making That Wisconsin Havarti Fondue. Stay Awesome My Followers!
