Court happenings from friday the 13th

So last Friday I was in court for the sentencing of my shooter. Now I could go over what happened but thankfully local reporters were there so I can just link their words instead They cover most everything that happened other then some details that they didn't go over in the court room.

I'm still not sure how I should feel about all of this, let alone what I'll do next....

I noticed that the defense attorney attempted to use the fact that the offender was suffering from mental trauma stemming from being stabbed in the heart before. Funny, you was shot, and yet I do not see you going out and attempting to murder someone. Personally, I feel your assailant's excuses to be complete bullshit, and he should have received a much longer sentance.

I shall pray for you, that you may continue to recover, and heal from that horrible event.

2802381 Yea and he's sorry for what happened that night, but won't say it's his fault. I want to offer him help but it's stuff like that, that just keeps pissing me off.

2803210 sadly someone cannot get the help needed in that situation until they can admit to their faults. Until then, the denial will continue to block him from receiving the help needed, no matter how much is given to him. Whereas he was the one who brought all that has come to him upon himself, it will take him making that crucial first step towards being able to truly accept the offered help.
