It's like in Two and Half Men. Pinkie has this immense mansion inherited from her granny and, since it way too big for her alone, gave a spare room for Trixie. Months later, Trixie had to work together with Sonata (assistant for her magic act) and found out that she needed a room too:
Trixie: Don't worry, it'll be only till she can get back to her hooves.
Pinkamena: That's what you said.
Trixie: Just a couple of day, two weeks maximum.
Pinkamena: That's what you said too.
Trixie: Hmmm, look at this face *shows a picture of Sonata being as cute as is possible*
