You learn something new.... · 11:20pm Feb 6th, 2015
So I learned something new yesterday, while I was in the ICU (intensive care unit) one of my lungs collapsed and I have shrapnel along my lower spine. I can understand why I wasn't told about the lung thing, as it was only a temporary issue and was fixed right away. I don't understand why I wasn't told about the shrapnel as it could become a issue anywhere there are metal detectors. I wonder if it'll ever come out or will I be stuck with it for life?
Are you still suffering from that gunshot?
2774877 Yes, when they removed the bullet they had to cut in and cut it out so there's a indent next to my spine where the muscle and bullet is missing. Due to this walking around too much or carrying too much weight or even just sitting wrong causes me back pain.
Regardless of their reasoning, I still think it was kind of crappy of them not to tell you about that stuff if it could adversely affect you.
So how is your lung feeling now?
2775012 My lung is fine, I was shot back on july 29th.
2775032
Well, that's good at least.
2775073 yea, and hopefully I'll be done going to the court house over all of this by the end of the month.
