Celestia's mindset-If she were the sun and her the moon

Note: I'm abbreviating the title to Sun/Moon whenever I talk about it.

So, in the latest chapter, Princes Twilight Sparkle, Saint of Friendship, people have been quite upset about Celestia's thought process on Twilight's whereabouts. Well, let me tell you this. You got to remember that the portal connecting Equestria to the human world opens sporadically. Meaning it opens and closes at random. The chance that Twilight hopped through, in Celestia's mind, is very unlikely. I mean, the portal is basically on crack with it deciding to be a stable, functional mirror with transporting abilities.

Being able to calculate the mirror's jacked up schedule is very hard. Not that Celestia doesn't think Twilight isn't smart enough to do it, but she doesn't think it was very likely Twilight went through. Secondly, Twilight is her former student, and when she was Celestia's student, she was the best and most trustworthy pony ever. To think that Twilight was up to no good is unspeakable to her. Now, why she didn't tell Celestia at all about her supposed research on the gas is what she's still mystified about.

Going to Zecora will help her accomplish quite a bit, as you will learn later.
