I could use some help · 2:00pm Jun 30th, 2012
Okay, so, apparently a strong point of mine in my story is making the 'in-between' times bot boring.
However, my weak point is character development.
So, here's what I ask: Can you guys help me find out how to properly convey a character's emotions without making it sound bland or simple? I'll really need to know for when I write Char. dev. chapters.
um, you have no problem with character development from what I've seen
but here are some tips:
1. if you can combine character development with other activities (exploration, fighting etc.) so much the better, Project Horizons is great example of this
2. detail expressions as much as you see fit (usually more detail here is better), because expressions convey things that words can't
3. tone of voice also goes along with the previous one as well
4. keep doing what you're doing, from what I've seen you don't really have a problem with this
Nice. Ill help you.
Oh, and the "perk" things at the end of each chapter help a bit. It makes it a bit more apparent.

So, what you're trying to say is don't put too much self doubt? And, if he gets into a relationship, don't make it cheesy?

I see. Thanks for the input.
