    Absence

Been hellish busy recently, and it's not been fun.

Had some family trouble as well, seems illness just won't leave us alone. On the bright side I've had more time to refine the story and work on it. Expect a new update this week.

Also, it's a great month for games. Doom, Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, Overwatch, Prophecy League for Path of Exile.

    Good stuff.

    New Star Wars

There is a trend at work that is really irritating, and almost infuriating. The reaction to the criticism of Rey is absolutely insane. I think I'm going to have to write another rant blog about this stupidity.

And since it involves fan fiction, and this is a fanfiction site, it'll be perfect.

    Oh Hanuman give me strength.

    Once Upon a Summer Sunset

    Well, finally got it out.

Hope you all enjoy. The twists and turns of this story were incredibly fun to plan out and write.

Now, back to writing and Hearthstone.

    The New Year

Well, it's that time, and I'm late getting this up.

Doesn't exactly bode well for things to come, but hey, that's life.

Well, another year come and gone.

A lot has changed in this year. For me, for the show, for the fandom.

The Library Tree is gone, replaced by a castle. Everfree Network is no more, replaced by other shall we say, less serious pony news outlets. I feel that both things signal the end of an era, and the beginning of something new.

CotM is still not done, even though I started it almost two years ago at this point. I think on it sometimes, whether my first venture in fan fiction ever should have been a fantasy epic. But I don't regret it. I see other stories, and while I do enjoy many of them, I know I wouldn't enjoy writing them. That's what matters. I write stories that I would want to read. Those of you who also read them, well, as I've said before you have my thanks. I'm glad I could provide a story worthy of your time.

This year has been quite the roller coaster, looking back on it. I had my ups and downs, but I feel I'm going out better than I came in. I've lost almost 36 lbs combined this year. That combined with my working out and running, I'm in the best shape of my life right now. Pony (the show) had in my opinion it's best season yet, with much more awesome stuff on the horizon.

But this post is about the future. So I'll let you know what I have in store.

1) CotM: The story will continue as planned, with the next chapter being released tomorrow. Certain things need to be put in place before we move into the next, and possibly final arc. I say possibly because I don't know where I want to break up the outline. Rest assured, if you enjoy that story, there is much more on the way.

2) One shots: I enjoyed writing In the Fading Starlight. It felt good to get an idea onto a google document and publish it. I have a few more ideas for them

3) Other stories: These are a bit more involved. Multi chapter stories, but nowhere near as involved as CotM, and lighter subject matter as well. I have one that might get a release either next week, or the week after. It's about halfway done, and I'll probably just push the chapters out as I get time to write them after that. I have two more premises planned alongside that one. The writing of them will not eclipse my work on CotM, it's my first story and will still have the majority of my attention.

4) Blog posts: This is something of a personal matter. I don't have many followers, but still, I enjoy these blog posts. They're cathartic to write. I have another about the Legend of Korra. I was foolish enough to watch the rest of the show, seasons three and four. Season three was actually quite good. Season 4... not so much. Plus, it's ending... yeah, that will be the topic of the next blog. I have to get it off my chest. It'll be a rant, meant more for me than anything else. So if you don't want to hear angry complaining and moaning about the ending of LoK, steer clear. I won't hold it against you.

Aside from that. I hope everyone has a fantastic new year, and a great weekend coming up. Look for a new CotM chapter tomorrow, and a new story next week.

Cheers.
