Meet the Pyro: Fan version · 8:53am Jun 28th, 2012

Just a random idea in my head. Loved 'Meet the Pyro' but I didn't really feel like I 'Met' him. We still don't know about his past or anything about him, other than the fact that he's mentally deranged. So this is my idea.

Note: I've never written a proper script so forgive me if there are some non-script mistakes ^^'

MEET THE PYRO

(Screen fades in to a person's lips. The rest of the person's face is obstructed by darkness.)

Person: Help. That was my job. I used to help people, save them....heal them.

(Scene quickly cuts to a man, dressed in doctor scrubs, inside an operating room, shouting medical jargon to the rest of the people in the room before cutting back to the person's lips)

Person: They thanked me for saving lives, helping others. And I loved what I did. I loved knowing the fact that I was a person they could go to when everything went to hell.

*Pause*

Person: But where was everyone... when I needed help?

(Scene cuts to the same doctor in his room)

Person: *sniffs* Smoke? *eyes fling open* SMOKE!

(Person rushes out of the door and sees that the whole first floor of his home was engulfed in flames. Camera zooms in on the person's face as the flames engulf the camera and changes the scene back to the person's lips)

Person: They weren't there for me, were they? The firemen were slow.

(Scene cuts to a man running out of a burning house covered in flames. He drops in front of the firemen just as they arrive. The firemen put out the flames on the man and slowly turn him over while the camera shifts to the man's perspective, showing all the firemen making disgusted faces as they look at him.)

Person: The police were useless.

(Person holds up a newspaper article saying 'Arsonist not found. Police abandon search.' towards the camera before lowering it again)

Person: And the doctors 'did the best they could'

(Scene cuts to inside a hospital. A doctor is unwrapping the bandages of a patient and after finishing, brings a mirror. The patient takes the mirror and smashes it on the floor. Camera zooms into one of the shards of broken glass and transitions back into the dark room)

Person: Help. After giving so much to so many people, no one gave it back to me. That once incident caused my whole life to go down in flames. Then I realized. I could still help people!

(Scene cuts to the person in a small room, lit only my a candle with his hands over his face. He slowly raises his head and takes his hands off and stands up. The camera quickly shifts to show him from his waist to just a bit of his face at the top, still obstucting most of it. The person walks towards a kitchen where he rips out the gas canister. Quick scene change back to the dark room where the person is speaking.)

Person: I could heal them!

(Scene changes to the person attaching several pipes and a small lighter [still unlit] at the end of the gas canister before cutting back to the dark room)

Person: I could save lives again!

(Scene changes back to the person. Camera is behind, showing the person's disfigured, bald head as he slips on a black rubber mask. Then a few quick scene changes to him putting on a fireproof suit.)

Person: And all it took...

(Scene cuts to the Pyro burning down an entire village [like the one in Meet the Pyro])

Person: ...was a little...

(Scene cuts to the Pyro's Pyroland, spraying rainbows at a floating sniper with wings but it quickly changes to show that the Pyro is burning the sniper alive)

Person: ...spark.

(Scene cuts to show the camera zoomed in at the end of the flamethrower as he presses a button and a small blue flame comes on)

[TF2 melody as the camera zooms out of the Pyro on the TF2 logo]

(After-ending scene is exactly the same as Meet the Pyro)
