Still in draft three. It won't be ready for Christmas as I had hoped, and for that I'm deeply sorry. When this story is done, virtually every scene will have been rewritten at least three times. Maybe I'm insane, maybe I'm doing this right, maybe I should stop writing this blog post and get back to revising the story.
But before I disappear again, here's a tiny piece from my latest revision, because Celestia knows you guys have been waiting long enough. It's still a bit rough (oh my god I'm so bad). Here from Sweetie Belle's point of view:
Moon and stars peered through weak clouds, fireflies bobbed in the distance, and street lamps shone halos through the thin rain. Ponies wandered across the town square, some in pairs, some alone, all hiding under umbrellas of every conceivable color.
After so long in the city, I’d almost forgotten what the night sky looked like, and it took some effort not to gape up at it. And looking out at the warm glow of Ponyville after all these years, it was hard to remember why I’d run away in the first place.
I'll get back to you when I have something more interesting to report.
I like it! Can't wait!

I can't wait either. It'll feel good to finish something again. Just don't hold your breath.
2694094 I will, because I know it'll be awesome.
