Okay, so I am in the planning process of an original story about a girl (in her late teens, then again, when is a female character not in young adult fiction these days? 
) who discovers she is a flame siren, a creature with the power of seductive song and fire, who was sent to Earth from the depths of Hades as an infant to wreak havoc on all humanity.
But since her human family has treated her so well, she refuses to complete her siren mission. And this defiance spirals her into the run of her life. Now she must escape the radar of the cryptic Cult of the Sirens, who seem to have always watched her from day one.
As the girl works to constantly avoid the organization pursuing her, she learns more about her past than she's ever known before.
Yeah, not the greatest synopsis, but it's a work in progress. What I can't decide on is the name of the main character.
I have two ideas for names-- Dakota and Sylar. Very different from each other, I know. I like them both, but which one to name her? What do you guys think?
