#4. Chrome Disaster (Origin: Accel World by Reki Kawahara and Sunrise; 1st appearance: "Obligation")
Now here's some food for thought - how dangerous can be a living suit of armor be? Now...What if that armor could turn its wearer into a berserk monster who hungers for destruction and carnage and changes according to the wearer's personality? In short, this is the best way to describe the entity known as Chrome Disaster from one of my personal favorite animes. For those who don't know, Accel World is a show that revolves around a mysterious world-wide cyber fighting game known as "Brain Burst" which players engage each other in battles in avatars personalized on their personal desires and a color. And with each victory a Burst Linker gains, the more points they often to level up and thus when one loses a fight, they also lose points. However there is a catch...If your points become all 0, the game is forcefully uninstalled and your memory is wiped of the whole experience. In the past, Chrome Disaster was a fearsome tyrant of a Burst Linker who terrorized all and it took seven of the most powerful players to finally defeat him - though he did vow that his legacy would forever haunt the Accelerated World. And that legacy would become the vicious armor that bears its creator's name. If it took seven high-leveled players to finally deal away with the guy, it should be noted that they could only SEAL away the armor for a time...Until some asshole decided to use it in a scheme for power - but that's the only slight spoiler I am giving away. When you first see the thing - it is INTIMIDATING as hell, monstrous and utterly cold - more a beast than everything. Thinking back, this thing had such a cool design and it screamed to be final boss material...though it wasn't made so...which sucks. The scariest thing about Chrome isn't its appearance and abilities, that is the fact that it could easily symbolize when we let our gluttony blind us, turning us against those we call friend and family and making us out to be inhuman. That is a scary thought...If you ever want to look good in armor, avoid this ONE at any cost.
