As my participation in a few prompt tag collabs shows, I enjoy writing small fics based on certain words or phrases. Due to that, I decided to do a 50 themes challenge again. I did so already a few years ago (with a 100 themes list), but didn't get very far. It also wasn't fandom-specific, while I'll concentrate solely on MLP this time (obviously). I saw someone else doing something like that and thought that it would be nice to do it myself.
It was around Spring 2013 that I became a fan of MLP:FiM. I saw a bit of the show and fanwork before in '11 and '12, but didn't really became a fan. At least, it was nothing until 2013.
I'm not sure how big of a problem they are in general, but they feel like a bane to me. There are several ones that I planned, several ones I started but barely any I ever finished. For whatever reason, loss of interest, lack of idea how continue or simple procrastination (which is the bane of my life), seeing a fic to the end is an incredibly hurdle for me.
