I'm not sure how big of a problem they are in general, but they feel like a bane to me. There are several ones that I planned, several ones I started but barely any I ever finished. For whatever reason, loss of interest, lack of idea how continue or simple procrastination (which is the bane of my life), seeing a fic to the end is an incredibly hurdle for me. And those aren't complex and none are multi-chapter. It actually genuinely surprised me, when I just finished a month-old fic (and since Fluttershy doesn't have a dick in it, it feels a bit like a waste). Only for it to be rejected, but that's another story. I mentioned at the end that I lost interest in MLP some time after I started it, but honestly, I'm not sure if I actually had finished it any earlier if that didn't happen.
My first MLP fic was, surprisingly enough, a clean one (that was before I got into clop, so I wasn't quite as corrupted as I'm now). It was about the CMC learning about death, when they find Fluttershy with a dead bear, which they help bury. I'm not sure when I stopped with it, but it died the moment I discovered a fic with the same topic. It's actually quite different from mine, but it still killed my interest in it. Maybe, just maybe, I might go back and try to finish that thing (it might be out-of-place between dickmares and exhibitionist Fluttershy, but eh).
My second MLP, also my first clopfic (yeah, by then the corruption started) was about an older Sweetie Belle having her first performance as a singer and later having sex with her girlfriend Apple Bloom (who would have the obligatory dick).
From there follows several unfinished attempts at fics until I finally published my first story. Which, while having explicit elements was not actually a clopfic. It did have a mare with a dick, though, so everything was alright with the world.
And from there several more attempts, of which three actually got somewhere (but only two published). All of them with Fluttershy in it (partly a coincidence, but I also like to write about her, since she's my favorite pony). Only two with futa. Two with and exhibitionist Fluttershy (it's like have one of these weird headcanon thingies).
But this post is about the unfinished ones. The one about Milky Way becoming a camwhore, the one about Twilight having sex with their parents to help them spice up their sex life, the one with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash sending naughty pictures to each other, the one with Fluttershy and a mostly-human/partly-pony Sunset Shimmer (as in, human but with equine dick) becoming sex friends (without being actual friends, since this is pre-EQG), the one with Butterscotch wearing girls' clothes made by Elusive (this one's rated PG: Pretty Gay), the one with futa Cadence and Shining Armor (that's one not completely straight either, not that futa in itself is) and the one with Twist contemplating her lost friendship with Apple Bloom.
Didn't see the last one coming, huh? Yeah, I didn't actually abandon non-clopfics, there is just barely any idea I want to do and I'm even somewhat confident in.
Shout-Out also to the Frozen fic with Anna and Elsa in the bath. Before anyone asks, Elsa's the one with the dick.
Well, this is basically in memory to the fics that lie on my hard drives, so that they are not forgotten. If god (read: my procrastination and interest) will, one of them might be revived and doesn't have to rot away like the still-unburied bear in my first fic.
