Hello Everyone. Sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. I've spent much of this week recovering from my long hours at work last week. But I have been writing. Sadly I've not made much progress on "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts". I'm not suffering from writer's block, or lack of direction or even motivation...rather I've begun experiencing "Writer's Itch", specifically the yen to work on something new. And that's just what I have been doing.
I've got a good start to my new clopfic starring the spa ponies, Lotus and Aloe. I ran into some slight snags, but only because I needed to make sure the plot was decent. I didn't want to use the romance tag and not have any development among the characters. That and I'm a little new to writing in the second person style. But I've read several 2nd person stories and found great inspiration for this. So I think with some time I will have a very enjoyable story to share. In a nutshell the story involves you (a human) who has come to live in Equestria (the plot helps explain why) and Lotus and Aloe. The plot helps to explain how all this has come to be, and the rest I'm hoping will be an enjoyable ride. I finally have a title, but am not going to release its name just yet.
Now as for tonight, I ended up starting work on another clopfic. Yeah I know, just what we need. Anyway, the idea for this one came to me while I was day dreaming, oddly enough about Applejack, at work the other night. Before the other day, she wasn't even a character I really cared for. Funny how things can change. Sorry, I digress sometimes. Now this story is also being done in the second person. Only unlike my other one, this time it's Applejack and You (a stallion). I'm not going to reveal anything about the plot just yet. But I am half way done with it already. I've got a little over 5,000 words done so far. I'm really enjoying this one. I hope once it's posted, that so will all of you. Oh and I don't mind sharing the title for this one. It's going to be called "Apple Bucking with a Beauty".
That's all for now. I await the hail of rotten vegetables for not working on my other projects. But hey, I gotta follow the inspiration...wherever it may take me.

I don't have rotten tomatoes to throw, but I do have patience I can throw instead. I can wait for Celestia knows how long, but I can wait a long time. When you feel you need to do something else, do it. Challenging it will make your other work suffer because of it. Anyways, I'll be waiting for the new story as well with the current story "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts". Brony ON!

Also, I'm glad you're thinking like me. I figured the same thing, why force myself to write one story, when my passion has shifted to another.
