I find myself writing more abstract fanfics every so often, and I can't help but wonder, why? There's a very good reason, mind you, but that's for another blog post.
ANYWAY
Why is there so little detail and so much dialogue?
There is a few ways I can answer this:
A. I was lazy
B. I wanted the words to leave more impact
It was a combination of both- no points for that round! I was watching a movie marathon while writing parts of Crepusculum, and when I wasn't doing that I was either actually watching the movie or writing Simplicity. I was really lazy with the details because most of my attention was on Crepusculum, but I also wanted to experiment and see if I could get the point across with little to no description in each sentence. Also, it lets the reader decide for him/herself what the setting is, what the characters are thinking, ect.
But I don't like FlutterMac!
There is a Romance tag. There are Big Mac and Fluttershy tags. The picture has Fluttershy, with a little heart, next to a smiling Big Mac.
Why did you even click on it?
Also, I got off my lazy plot and decided I should use the tumblr I made for something. So I put a bunch of stuff in the queue and shamelessly promoted it.
Story here.
I leave you with an Octavia plot-
>it lets to the reader decide for themselves what the setting is, what the characters are thinking, ect
