Out of the Hospital, Into the Really Cold Fall Season.

    On Hiatus

    Hello everyone,

You may have noticed that my uploading of My Little Human: Equestrian Girl has been a little... sporadic. And as of now, the fic is on hiatus.

    Going Back On My Word

I would like to first say that if you're reading this, then thank you. When My Little Human: Equestrian Girl, (I'll refer to it as MLH,) first hit the featured box, I was overjoyed. I danced and bounced around the room in such glee that Pinkie Pie would have joined in without even having a clue what I was so happy about.

Out of the Hospital, Into the Really Cold Fall Season. · 1:33am Oct 27th, 2014

Two days ago, I managed to scramble out of the Prince Edward Island hospital, drag my feet into the cramped confines of the family van, and trudge up the stairs to my bed and sleep for about six hours before getting up in time for dinner.

To back up and explain a little, I had essentially tripped a flag in one of my previous stays in the hospital that suggested I had "brainwave patterns similar to epilepsy."

So what did that mean?

Stay awake for 24 hours straight without coffee, Red Bull, or any caffine of the sort. (I was never fond of coffee anyways, but I would have seriously killed somebody for some by the 20 hour mark.)

I almost dozed off a total of four times, which would have made the test a write-off considering one of the main points was to see how I coped under sleep deprivation. Thankfully, my Dad had cheerfully volunteered to stay awake with me and prodded me awake whenever my face hit the laptop keyboard.

My night wasn't that bad, though. I only had to go just before the test was administered, so my Dad and I got to spend the rest of the night at home. We played World Of Warcraft in anticipation of the new expansion for most of it until my reaction times slowed to the point of taking thirty seconds before remembering to press W to move.

The rest of the time I just cranked the loudest Let's Plays and Hatsune Miku playlists I could find before settling on a two hour video of every single showtune in My Little Pony. I went from drooping eyelids and and a resigned frown to a face-splitting grin and total joy in about ten seconds flat.

After that, everyone else in the house woke up and we took the family van out to the hospital. I'm about six foot four, and most of it leg, so no matter how much the seat was pulled up, I still ended up having to curl up into what may as well be the fetal position.

Then, the tech finally hooked me up to a machine and told me to sleep for an hour. I swear it was only five minutes before the tech jolted me awake and administered phase two of the test: shining strobe lights bright enough to fry my eyeballs through my eyelids.

I had no seizure of any description, noteably.

Technician told us that she had no idea what the readings meant, sine she wasn't a neurologist. So I have to wait a little while for a call-back explaining what is going on inside my body.

After phase two was done, I got to go home. On the van ride home my Dad mentioned that I apparently registered as "awake" about every six minutes. I certainly was not consiously awake, but if that's my problem, no wonder I feel like crud even on a good night's sleep.

At the very least, it's over and I no longer have an excuse to put off my writing. I was seriously slacking off the few days before the visit.

So that's how I spent my weekend. On a totally unrelated note, I preordered Rainbow Rocks off Amazon after some fussing with my prepaid Visa cards, and Amazon was nice enough to switch my delivery date from November to the day it comes out on DVD, which is the 28th, two days as of the time of writing. All the time spent minimizing spoilers as much as possible is paying off.

I have to say, I am so psyched right now. Sunset Shimmer is coming back, as a protagonist, an apparently rocking (pun unintended) soundtrack and a sleepover segement with Maud Pie.

My pulse is steadily going up just thinking about it.

So, as for my immediate future plans right now: survive high school, write like a madman, and watch Rainbow Rocks ASAP.

I have to say, not bad plans.
