Homebound Ch10 - Basic Ramblings · 5:43pm Jun 16th, 2012
Welp, that was a surprise.
Do all fics suddenly jump from "ten readers" to "a hundred and twenty one readers" so fast? Honestly, feature box, make up your mind. Then again, it's not like I'm famous or anything.
Well. To continue down the path of Homebound, I'm happy to announce that with the 10th chapter's release, we can finally get rolling with the Plot. Wait! No. I'm just kidding. The mysterious vowel at the end of it may be the main villain - and yes the reason for the rather silly name will be given, err, eventually - but there's still so much to show (not tell) before he shows up to do villain things. And no, for future reference he isn't going to be another Space Hitler.
Maybe a Space Stalin, but whatever. They're completely different.
Anyhow, with Ch10 being the second-to-last chapter for Act 1, we are finally drawing to a close. No, no, not with the whole story, just with this part of it. You'll have to sit through two lovely (and hopefully short) interlude chapters involving the goings-on in Equestria. After that, it's back to Jackson.
I've said before that the Homebound universe (which actually doesn't really have a title, come to think of it.) is really a sort of collaboration between a group of people, mostly to have an excuse for their silly antics. So while a good number of people in Homebound are going to be, quote, NPCs, the other half is all created mostly created by other people. Like the Admirals and, to an extent, the beloved second-hand guy, Art, who everyone's already forgotten about, hopefully. I digress. With everything being heavily collaborative, you can certainly expect to spot a lot of idiocy. Then again, the REAL world is full of idiocy so you shouldn't spot anything, really. You'll feel right at home.
And with the School Year ending for me, I'll be chugging out longer chapters, faster. So goodie for you guys. However, there's a fair warning that I'll be gone for two weeks somewhere in September. I'm going on an adventure.
Lastly, my long-awaited-by-only-me story, Plotline. First chapter is mostly completely done, and I've still got the second chapter mostly almost half done, and I'm still writing up the very detailed Chapter Outline. Similarly, Plotline will be written in three Acts, though not as obvious as Homebound was. It's still a Western, and it has trains and blahdy blahdy blah.
Back to Homebound.
