Why does Fimfic have ads for...questionable products now?

They are annoying, but websites cost a lot to keep online, so they have to get their money somewhere.
Some of the costs involved:
-Domain ownership
-Server hosting (unless Knightly owns his own server)
-Internet access
-Bandwidth
-Other linked-in services

I can understand that, but especially for older devices and computers, ADs really bog the system down, and eat at the limited RAM. Try living with 1 GB on Windows XP....

2498274 Well, actually, Windows XP Pro can use less than 100 MB of RAM when idle, no extra programs and 32-bit version. Can't say so much for 7. Also, try it on a old 2003 8 pound laptop, with USB 1.1 and no WiFi unless you have a Cardbus WiFi adapter that supports WPA2 and Pentium 4 M CPU @ 2.2 GHz. And those flash-based Ads certainly don't help! Thus why I use FlashBlock. Especially those invisible dang flash ads with audio that can't be shushed. Really eats at the CPU.

2498282 Whilst seven may demand more RAM, its general requirements are lower than XP.

Also, let me find my old laptop and install TF2 on it. I wanna see how many times I die because it's so slow.

2498287 Also, if you minus the GPU to CPU encoding, it'd be even slower, XP doesn't have the GPU taking part of the job luxury. (I don't think....might depend on the GPU and computer.)
