Its time for that annual fiesta of terrible body aches and pains and generally sleeping 3/4ths of the day. Yep, it's time for the pandaren flu, which means I'm basically flat on my back doing nothing, not even roleplaying.
I do have to jot down some thoughts though. Chapter 4 of the Megan fic is being steadily plotted, if not actually written. It might be derailing EQG somewhat, which is why the AU tag is on there for obvious reasons, but I like to play within jokes and boundaries of canon so it'll work out in the end.
Secondly, I've been thinking about a IDW-based fic (like I haven't got too many of those already) entitled What Do You Mean, Disappeared? And it chronicles a Royal Guard who is appointed Celestia's stand-in one night when she tells him she might be late getting home, and the sun doesn't rise the next morning. While the Guard will probably be some kind of tribute to the series in a whole with a legacy name, the fic splits time between the Guard trying to field office work while Celestia is long overdue from a cross-dimensional jaunt through the mirror. The whole idea is pretty much absurd and will take priority after my usual fics are done, and this flu is cured.
As for Rainbow Rocks, you can probably consider it canon to the Megan fic but I'll probably be playing around with the timeline for that too. And probably some jokes incorporated from Annual #2 as well for the IDW comic.
So yeah, time to go get more fluids into me and try not to pass out for a third time today.
That sucks to hear that you're sick. I hope you get better soon.
