First Chapter of "The Disappearance of Pinkamena Diane Pie" released!

Well I cant begin to tell you how happy I am to have finally started releasing this. Its been in the works for some time now but its so fulfilling to see it up on FIMFiction. Well I hope those who have read the first chapter are enjoying it so far. I thought that I might try and give you a sense of direction with this post. I've already heard from a few readers who are wondering a bit about what they are in for. Obviously I will not be providing any spoilers.
First of all my story isn't based on any other MLP related blog or story. Nor is it really based on any book or movie series. Its the culmination of many hours of idea throwing and thought. The first of those ideas involved a story where Discord disappears. And the Mane six go looking for him ultimately revealing some dark secrets and an explanation of where he came from. Of course after tossing it around for a while I ended up scrapping it and instead going with the idea of Pinkie disappearing. I've always thought to myself there's something about Pinkie that just doesn't fit. Something she's hiding. And after may more hours of idea throwing I eventually had a basic plot-line worked out. And from there I began writing and after taking a break from writing even took a good week straight to draw and design the Cover. Then I spent a little more time drawing and doing some final tweaks and voila. First chapter released!
Now concerning the confusion as to the direction with this story. I do think that the main problem as to why some readers are feeling a little disoriented is with the choice of summary I made. I thought about writing your typical "Watch! As your favorite lovable pink pony suddenly vanishes! and now Twilight and her friends are on a quest to find her!" type of description. But honestly I just didn't like laying it out like that. Personally I find it takes away from the tone. So instead I went with some narrative from Twilight herself and tried to keep it vague enough to create interest without spilling the beans. And for those who felt they needed a little more direction I do apologize and hope you respect my ultimate decision.
Well hopefully as the days go by I'll hear more from you the readers and you can hear a little more from me too. I look forward to the adventure that awaits!As for the next chapter release I wont be giving any dates mainly for the reason that I hate to disappoint anypony if I don't meet those dates for whatever reason. But if I'm more than positive it'll be released by a certain time I'll try and make a blog post about it if you guys really want.
