Tell me, what do you live for? Is it for work? For study? Or is it for the important things? Pleasure, art, friends, family, love? Do you live to work? Or do you work to live?

I could go for a walk!

    I’m not dead yet!

I’m pretty sure at least. My doctor recently told me that I was the sickest patient she’s ever had and that I almost died in late 2017. Luckily I’m getting better now.

I haven’t been on here in like... 6-7 months or so. Even though I have some stuff that I wrote and watnot.

    Every Hallmark Christmas Romance Ever

My dad loves Hallmark Christmas movies, even when it isn't anywhere near Christmas time. I've started to notice a pattern with some of them.

Tell me if you've seen this one before...

    Finally

Well, I finally got another chapter of White Lie finished. It isn't even very long. However, I've got a new schedule that I'll be keeping that will help with getting chapters out on a more frequent basis.

Update on Little Butterfly! · 9:15pm Aug 20th, 2014

A new chapter is out for Little Butterfly. So go check it out!

In other news, having challenged and timed my self for a little while, I've discovered that, while I'm writing, I average about 1250 words per hour. Something interesting to say the least. Compared to my average WPM of 60, that means that I take about 3 times as long when I am writing stories because I have to think about what I'm going to say before I say it. Confound it, I wish that words would just flow through my head and onto the screen.

I can write, but not a whole lot, as I have little time, but if I dedicated an hour a day to writing, I could get a chapter out every two or three days (that is if I don't bother with proofreading anything). A good speed, but not as good as I wish it to be. I'm so abysmally slow at typing that I sometimes feel as though I'm behind a slow driver in the fast lane and I'm boxed in by a truck. I want to go faster, but I can't. It sucks. I can practice my typing, especially my typing without looking at the keyboard, but that is something that will take me many more hours of practice and writing than I have time for.

This seriously limits the potential I have to get good story ideas down and portrayed accurately within the allotted clock cycles. Oh, how I wish that I could write faster! Oh, how I wish that I didn't have to think so hard about what I write! Oh, how I wish that I was a good writer!

One of my biggest problems is that I simplify and strip so much before I even consider writing anything. My speech and thought is reduced to the most efficient combination of vocabulary so that I don't have to spend so much time communicating to get the idea across. Sadly, this affects my stories negatively as I have very little 'artistic' value added to it. The dialogue between characters is severely shortened, the descriptions of the settings have but the bare essentials, and nearly all of the things that I write are resolved within the chapter in which they are written.

I'm no use at extending anything for very long.

My style sucks for now, and I'm working on that. My stories aren't what they could be or even what I imagined them to be, but hey, that's how it will work out when I don't have a lot of time to write. Maybe I'll figure out what that one story is that will grab not just my attention, but everyone else's. I need something that hooks, characters that endear, and a world that enraptures.

One day I'll figure out which ideas are worth using and which aren't.

Anyway, that was my small rant on how bad I think my writing is.

But in other news, I've got some people to read my stuff, and some of them have even liked them! :D Little Butterfly (at least up until now) has gone without a single dislike! Huzzah! A little positive perspective helps me understand that not everything I do is wrong. Maybe I could stand to get a little more publicity. I'll figure out how to do that one day. anyone got any tips?

And speaking of writing without proofreading (quite the leap from a few paragraphs back), that is exactly what I did with this latest chapter I wrote, so I hope that nothing in it is seriously messed up, or missing a majorly important word. Please let me know if you see anything!

That is all. Tah tah!
