So, after a long 7 weeks at Pehold ACSTC, I have finally returned home. I got my brand new laptop yesterday, and was honoestly distracted with putting new software on it to write this post.
Anyway, what I have been doing for the last 7 weeks was being flight staff for a basic band at Penhold. This consisted of getting the flight (group of cadets who are on course together) to all their timings, keeping them safe and supervised, teaching them and dealing with their problems whether they are home problems, or with each other. It was the most stressful and difficult times of my life. And I would love to do it again if I could.
The stupidity of some of the people you have to care for, and work with, is often beyond comprehension. Yet sometimes, they can be the best cadet or staff ever. You gain skills that you can use for the rest of your life, and experience new things that will change the way you think. Penhold is a place that had its issues, but was overall a wonderful place.
As for what is to come, I am back to the world of civilization. Meaning I am now open to edit/proof-reading again and just generally helping out. Feel free to suggest me to anyone. Also, I start University in September, so I have no idea how much free time I will have once I start school again.
Other than that, I am back.
See you guys later,
Dartrunner
Glad to see ya up and running, pal. You might not know this, but Sanic Moria and I have been riffing a story. Would you like to join us?
