Chapter 12 of Doctor and Ditzy's Science Theater is finished + news! · 8:01am Aug 13th, 2014
Hello everyone. Sorry about the late chapter. It took a little longer than expected, but now it is finally finished! Today we will be reading The Legend of Starlight-Book 2: Love at Second Sight, the sequel of The Legend of Starlight. A story I actually kind of enjoyed surprisingly. It has some good ideas I think. I really liked the stuff with Gilda. It is a huge improvement over the original. It has better grammar for one thing.
Next time I will be riffing the final two parts of the Starlight Saga; ‘The Legend of Starlight-Book 3: The Good, The Bad, and the Trixie’ and ‘The Legend of Starlight, Book 4: To Love and to Lust’. Book 4 only has one chapter, but I think it would be fun to do and I have some funny ideas for it. After that, I have two other stories planned; An "Unreal" Day by Brian Jacko and Dax's Despair by Dark Angel AW.
Unreal Days is an Unreal Tournament crossover. It’s your typical ponies play video game story, but it has a twist! The game is played in real life! Even though everything is in real life, everything still functions as if it is still a video game. There are respawning weapons, if you die your just respawn moments latter completely unharmed, there is an announcer that yells out kill achievements, and if you die gruesomely it doesn’t matter, you will respawn back to life perfectly fine. How does it work…magic! That’s all you need to know! It isn’t as interesting as it sounds unfortunately. It somehow manages to be pretty boring. I know I am sort of breaking my rules with this one since the story is rated Mature, but it isn’t really that violent. Most of the violence is pretty cartoonish and is hard to take seriously. Actually, I think Darkness of Love was more violent than this story.
Dax’s Despair was requested to me by Dark Angel AW himself. It’s my first request ever! I’m so happy! Thank you so much for suggesting it. It’s about a filly named Daxelia and her super tragic past! It’s a spinoff of another one of Dark Angel’s stories called The Dark Defender. Will I do that story? Maybe, we will have to see. I still need to read it, but it is certainly a possibility.
