After six long years of faithful service, my Xbox 360 has finally passed away...
I remember getting my Xbox 360 in 2005. It was my first current-gen console, and the first time I was ever truly in love with gaming. In 2006, my Xbox 360 had a heart attack... my family took it for surgery. $60 later, we had it back, all shiny and healthy. A few months after that, we got a $60 check in the mail from Microsoft, and a short while afterwards, we heard of a huge Xbox 360 recall. For six years since my Xbox 360 was returned, we have had a wonderful time. So many memories with this wonderful white machine, and so many awesome experiences shared with it...
I could tell age was taking it's toll, but now, the final play has been made. Today, June 8, at 11:47 AM, my Xbox 360 experienced the red ring of death.
May you forever rest in peace.
I'm sorry for your loss
It's strange, how a simple piece of machinery can become so much more to us, as if it had a true life of it's own. I'm sure it served well, and now it will be able to rest.
R.I.P. unin's Xbox.
Though my 7-year-old PS2 still works.

They still fix original generation Xboxes. Though I guess at this point you might as well just bite the bullet and get a 360 S.
