Writing my first fanfic

Hello everyone. I'm not sure who (if anyone) reads these blogs, but I thought I'd put an explanation down as to who I am and why I'm writing here.

I'm not actually a Brony, really, although I like the show. My son is the Brony, and I'm kind-of writing the Maud and Cheese fan fic to blow his mind a little. Like, moms couldn't do that sort of thing, right? I enjoy writing, so why not?

In truth, this is my first creative writing in a long, long time. Mostly I write academic papers and that sort of thing. I am a Professor of Mathematics and Statistics as my day job. I have two children -- my son, who will be twenty in two days, and my daughter, who just turned nine. We have a tradition of me buying them Bronycon tickets as their birthday presents. I've already early-birded us for next year. Mostly, I just sit around while they are off having a good time. So I guess a second reason for writing this is that if I am going to spend three days of my life at the Baltimore Convention Center, I might as well have something to talk about with people. Writing a fanfic (or two) seemed like a good place to start.

Anyway, please read my story and "like" it -- it if gets popular, that will really blow my kid's mind. And that would be so much fun!
