I know that I am still new to the whole narrative writing thing, and I have a lot to improve upon, but this guy hits the nail on the head.
People complain day in and day out about how this one fic they read wasn't very good, or how a song they listen to could be so much better, but they just leave it at that. A thought in their head, or some dialogue between a couple of people. I will say this only once, so listen up. If you have a problem with a fic, or a song, or a piece of art, LET THE CREATOR KNOW SO THAT THEY KNOW WHERE TO IMPROVE! I know that I have read quite a few poorly done fics in the time that I have been a brony, and I started out severely guilty of this very thing, but I am trying to help know. Before I decided to start writing, I decided to try and edit some peoples works to help them get better. In some cases I have been quite successful, although not on my own. The creator has to have an open mind and be able to see their own flaws before they can improve. The problem with fanwork isn't coming from any outside source. It's coming from the fandom itself, and we need to start to do something about it. We must start helping each other by CONSTRUCTIVELY criticizing each others works.
