Hey everypony, it's been a while since I've made a blog post, but this one I really need to make to address one of my stories, A Hard Day's Reward. As you all know there was a sequel underway called Mending the Heart. However, I have some bad news in regards to that story. I've decided not to do the sequel. The reason being is that before I joined this site, I made A Hard Day's Reward on DeviantART and so many wanted a sequel to it, that I just cave in and did one. However, I have to admit I really didn't want to do one. I really just wanted the series to end as a one note as itself. I wasn't having fun writing the story and I wasn't enjoying myself in trying to come up with the story. I mean it took me nearly three months alone just to come up with the sequel's prologue.

After I wrote that, I thought maybe I could get something going, but I honestly never could get anything productive going on in terms of how to continue the story. I thought of doing a shipping of Rainbow Dash X Twilight Sparkle and Applebloom X Sweetie Belle, but I was so frustrated on how to make the story go, I lost all interest in it.

Another problem has to be the fact that right now, I want to try to finish up The Dragon That Would be Pony during my summer break. I also have another big project in mind called Dragon's Rage, which I hope to get started on soon. Whenever I tried to work on Mending the Heart, I felt so bored with it and so stuck on what to do, that I had to stop writing for a while just so I could not give myself a headache. I mean it was just really frustrating doing the story and I honestly wasn't having fun writing the story.

I've now deleted Mending the Heart and altered the ending to A Hard Day's Reward to ensure there is no opening for a sequel. If somepony wants to write the sequel to it, then go ahead and do so. Just credit me for the original story and let me know if you are planning to write a sequel to the story. One user on DeviantART has already shown interest in writing the sequel once he's done with his other projects.

So I apologize to all of you who waited and wanted this story so badly, but I really wasn't feeling it anymore for that story and I honestly have no desire to continue the story in any way, shape, or form. Maybe one day I'll write another AppleSpike fic, but for now I want to concentrate on bigger things. I hope you all understand and if you are angry, then please keep the anger levels in check then.
