panic! · 12:29pm Jul 13th, 2014

I awoke this morning to find my brain had concocted a rumor of FiMfiction. The rumor took the form of a "special edition google doodle", or however you'd call it. Presumably, it was only shown to some users. It had re-implemented the search on FiMfiction--yes, on google--and the descriptive text below it explained that it was to commemorate the passing of FiMfiction.net after some sort of massive comment war.

Luckily, that's not the case.

"Addiction" has taken on some weird meanings in its pop psychological use nowadays. Habit =/= addiction. Enjoyment =/= addiction. Habitual, unthinking overuse =/= addiction.

I'm pretty sure people who think they're addicted to the internet just need to go outside more.
