Those of you who have followed me for any length of time should know by now that I’m not a very fast writer. I’m fairly certain there are trans-Neptunian objects that orbit the sun more frequently than I post new material. Granted, I’ve gotten better lately. Over the past two months, I’ve written a one-shot and the first two chapters of a longer story, and for me, that’s a lot. But I think can do better. I want to do better. I really wish I was one of those authors you see on this site who can’t seem to crack a fart without ten-thousand words falling out.*
So, in the interest of self-improvement, I’ve set up a little project for myself this month. My goal is to write four one-shots over the course of July—one per week, to be released every Friday. On top of which, I’d also like to get another chapter of Persona done sometime this month (I’ve already started it, so it shouldn’t be a problem).
Now, I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, so these stories probably won’t be very long (probably less than five-thousand words apiece), and I won’t be trying anything too complex or ambitious with them (maybe some humor, the occasional twist, and, of course, the sexytimes).
Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to writing them. I already have the four stories picked out, and all of them are ideas that’ve been bouncing around in my head for a while, so it’ll be nice to let them out and into the world, so to speak. And hopefully, there’ll be something to entertain you guys, too.
We'll see, I guess...
* Not to diminish the effort these writers no doubt put into their stories, but still.
