Hi there. It's been a couple weeks since my last blog post, so I'd just like to say that I'm not dead yet. In fact, I've made quite a bit of progress in my super-duper secret project. Unfortunately, I've hit a couple snags in this.
The first is while I have a good portion of it already done, I'm waiting on a few people to give it a look and see what they think about it. I want this story to be the best it can, but I've underestimated the time it's taking for the feedback to come in. I could just throw what I have finished up now, but I'd rather wait to see if there are any good pointers I can use first.
Secondly, my writing will be delayed for a little bit. In a few hours, I'll be waking up to start a very early morning ten-hour drive to another state for vacation. I'll be with family practically 24/7, so I doubt I will be able to get any further writing done until the end of next week. That said, once I'm back home, I plan on buckling down and speeding up my progress, as despite all the free time I've had since I've finished my semester, it's still much slower than I would have preferred. My plan is to have a good majority of this project finished by the time the Fall semester starts up so any future writing doesn't get bogged down by classes.
And with this, I am going to finish up packing so I can begin a very long and tedious car ride while sitting right next to a 5-year-old with the fastest motor-mouth I've ever seen.
Oh, and to anyone and everyone who already knows what my super-secret project is: Try and keep it a secret to others if you can. It's more fun that way.
