Update
Do you know that problem you sometimes get when you have some work and you don't know if everyone else will like it or not? So you keep changing your work until you've exhausted all other options but to turn it in?
Well that's where I am right now with the next chapter of "Spike, The Dragon of Ponyville." I'm so terrified that some of you might not like where I'm going with the story... I guess it's something we all have to go through, huh?
I'll still upload. No matter what happens, you always upload, that's my rule. I'll run it by a few people I trust to give me their full, honest opinion. then then the next chapter will be out.
Why is the story rated dark?
I should probably change that. I rated it dark because there is a bit of gore in it....
Dragons are carnivores too.
Don't worry no matter where you take it we will read it and be there for you. You gave us a strong start and I believe you can keep it up. Just trust in yourself and your writing.
Just so you are confident in your removal of the dark tag, I would like to point out that conventionally the "dark" tag is used for stories that have the theme of dark (bad things happening to good ponies) not for sparse or plot-relevant violence, That is what the rating is for. If you don't intend for anyone to turn evil or to kill some ponies off, you should probably remove the tag, as it turns off many readers from otherwise good stories.
Oh, and don't worry about people not liking where your story's going, if you start going too far out to sea, I'm sure you'll receive enough critiques (the helpful kind) to draw you back in. (You can trust I'll be amongst their number tossing you a lifeline, not that I think you need it.)
p.s. Or, if you don't like that concept and want to continue on regardless, never over look the fact that you can just write for yourself, and post simply to allow the few who DO enjoy to take their fill, regardless of what the thumbs or comments section may say.
2229529 I really appreciate that.
2229100 Thanks, mate.
