    Slamming my head

I was hoping to post the story this month, but that didn't happen

I'm just not satisfied with how I laid it out

To explain why this particular chapter is taking so long, well... I guess I would say that this would be considered a pretty big shift in the story, one that leads to the next section of it all.

It's a pain in the butt, because the chapter lead up to 4000 words

    Ko-Fi and plans

    Welp, here we are again.

I'm still getting messages that you guys are commenting, faving, and rereading Alex's care taker.

I wasn't into the idea of writing two stories at once, but this time, I decide to do it on the side. It's been proving therapeutic for me. and that's time better spent than sitting around waiting for my noggin to feel better.

    To all of my readers

Thank you for waiting so patiently after over 2 years of absence. Things really have changed in the course of that time. I apologize for the excessively long wait, and the only thing I can provide, even now, is a heartfelt apology.

Net Neutrality: Have you done your part?

How many of you have participated so far?

Remember, the reason why our net is still up and running is thanks to Net Neutrality. The freedom to go on the web without paying the extra bucks. Besides entertainment, we also use it for communication, education, information, and so on.

If you haven't gone on yet, do it now!

    Semester ending, final stretch

As some may know, I am in college.
This semester, I transferred to a university.

That's why posting chapters is harder and harder.

This semester I had a class that was really hard. (Because apparently teacher's here make stuff harder. It's not just the course, lol)

But now that the semester is ending, and there's only a little more to do, I will be writing again.

That was pretty bad. · 6:37pm Jun 19th, 2014

I was a little shocked to receive so much fire in just one day after not having to post a story for so long. I guess I should have played it safe, because I don't want to intentionally post a bad story. I was never supposed to kneel before the readers, true, but my goal itself is to be entertaining.

What makes it hard though is that people keep saying that This story has been made like, a thousand times. Can't you think of anything new?

Trying to make something new is pretty hard, don't you think?

When an idea pops up in your head, you cannot tell me that it is completely original. The topic of it may be, but it doesn't mean the idea itself is all original. I also dislike that people say I should try to make my own ideas sometimes, and not something repetitive.

So to clear something out, let me make a list of the many kinds of stories that have been told at least ten times.
-Love stories. Doesn't matter with who, it's gonna happen with anyone. Both the fillies and the princesses. Mostly because you feel the two make a good couple, funny duo, strange twosome, make a third personality,
-Rivalry. Two characters going at it for whatever reason. Love, titles, specific item, whatever the drive is.
-Death. You all don't use this that much, but really, why would you? My Little Pony wasn't at all about this.
-Defending. To protect someone or something of importance. Whether be for love, pride, loyalty, fate of the world/friends, just for the heck of it.
-Searching. They're looking for something so hard to find, Sherlock doesn't even know. Reasons could be to rescue/save someone, loyalty, fate of the world/friends, just for the heck of it.
-Cleansing. To clear out evil sources of something in particular to prevent the end of the world, loss of loved ones, destruction of faction, or lose the light of the world.
-Mission. Because your character is all about military and is strictly told what to do. (Military Delinquent)
-End of the world. Seriously, I wouldn't have the will to write something like that relating to My Little Pony, how could you do that? Do you all think we live in Fallout already? Also, the themes of end of the world is usually radioactive meltdown, somebody took over and is being a tyrant, Snow wasteland, nature destroys all of civilization (Extreme growth of trees like EVERYWHERE), and one where economy just sucked and goes back to the Great Depression.
-Bad Past. I know I wrote one, but come on! No one in the world has had a perfect life. And those who did, let me remind you that rich boys that don't know right from wrong end up WAY crazy, and end up killing kids without even feeling bad. (Please search up crime reports relating to this to fully understand.)
-Life of a god. Yeah, those are actually pretty intriguing on how you view Celestia, Luna, Cadence, or Twilight's life as a god-like being. But you know it was done before.
-Fighting. I'm actually okay with this, because the show itself was about fending off evil wards as much as learning valuable lessons.
-Secret Mission. Because spies knows whats up in the world of Equestria.
-Human. Depends on how you do it I guess.
-Anthro. Don't really get this at all, it's really weird to me.
-Crossover. When someone writes a crossover, I sometimes pray to them to KNOW THEIR BACKGROUND. Seriously, I read characters that are WAY too changed! Personality, past, and reason. When someone doesn't take notes and make up something, it makes me want to say, Just make your own character that relates to them in some way. That way, you could put in as much content as you want without mutating the characters background.
-Improvement. You just want to make your own version, thinking you can do better, or want to add some of your own ideas into a story you've read before. Sadly, this does not always work. And I'm pretty sure many writers are struggling with this one truth.
-Experimenting. Like the sims, you want to play with relationships and tell them how you see them when they meet together. Stories only about this are fresh for comedy, and are unlikely to turn into anything life threatening. Still, they have been done before.

What is the goal/the drive of the characters?
-Saving everyone/the world.
-For love.
-For glory.
-To prove ones honor
-To find something lost along time ago.
-To find something you dreamed of finding.
-To rescue/find someone who had just been kidnapped/lost.
-To just fit in.
-To ensure safety of everyone/everything you love.
-To destroy someone they despise due to the fact that they hurt, killed, tortured ones life, friends, and/or home.
-To prevent destruction.

The reason why you picked those characters.
-Unappreciated.
-Not enough stories about him/her.
-You feel like he/she could really connect with him/her.
-You love them to death.
-You hate them and plan to give them a living hell in your story.
-You want to express how amazing they are.
-You want to teach them a lesson they should have learned.
-You can relate to them and you show how.
-You feel like there should be a follow up story relating to an episode of the show.
-You want to make them OP.
-You're going to kill them in the end of the story, then smash every reader's heart with that.
-You make one big joke that really flips off every single one of your readers that likes that character. (Pretty funny though.)

So unless you can truly give me an original idea that cannot be related to a movie, comic, videogame, book, show, or any story that anyone has ever read, seen, or heard about, please enlighten me. Otherwise, stop shooting down a bunch of stories. It's as annoying as someone saying, This is an original story by me, made by my own ideas. Completely original, 100%. No one can make a totally original topic.
