I watched some clips of MLP with Discord, with and without Fluttershy, and I just feel like I haven't made him Discord-y enough in my stories...And I feel like I made Fluttershy maybe a bit too maternal? Can you be kind of maternal towards someone even if it's not that kind of relationship? Ahh, I want to start over kind of....*UGH*

Well, Discord does have a sort of constant chaotic buzz about him, something that usually is kind of underplayed generally in fanfiction, but everyone has their own ways of writing characters and perceiving them. I, personally, think that you write Discord adorable-y.

I think that Discord really probably has less of his usual chaotic buzz going on when he's only around Fluttershy, but the show has never had a scene where reformed Discord and Fluttershy just hang out, so it's kind of hard to tell. But, after the finale, I'd imagine that his chaotic buzz has lessened considerably around the other main charries, now that he probably trusts them more and accepts them as friends, too?

And I think that your Fluttershy is spot-on! She is very maternal. That's one reason why I prefer her in a friendship with Discord over a romance, but that's going into my personal territory, so I'll stop now.

2216729 That's just the thing though. As I watched the clips, I thought maybe she's too maternal towards him to be more than that....The idea is still adorable to me, and I think it'd be cute if she was more romantic than maternal towards him, but I dunno...*gets pelted by orange*

Well, in your story, Discord really wasn't, well.....Discord-y? Discord-ish? He wasn't really chaotic, but he was nicely written and I didn't mind one bit that he was just a tiny bit OOC. I actually like the way you wrote him and I especially love the dialogs.

Also, I think after the Tirek incident, Discord will try to hold back his chaoticness and be a little more considerate towards those surrounding him.

Don't worry about it, just keep writing him like you have, because you've done a bang-up job so far!

Also, I think Fluttershy's character is spot on, so keep it up!
