Okay... I like the dis-like button. I don't like how people abuse the dis-like button.
I know it feels good, verry good to get a like on a story. Especially if it has zero dis-likes.
For me, a dis-like shows that you have room to improve as a writer. But if you give/receive a dis-like and no reason as to why, it does no good what so ever!
If the story just didn't appeal to you, that is fine. But I don't think that is a reason to give the story a dislike, in my opinion. Remember, that is my opinion.
Now if there was a problem with the story, like a plot hole or something is inconsistent with something else and it bothers you, let the author know what it was so they can improve and not make the same mistake. I feel like that is something you should do as a reader.
Sorry, but I just thought I would let you all know how I feel about it.

Personal opinion {
Upvotes and downvotes weren't implemented for your behalf. The feature is meant for the readers to separate good stories from the bad ones. Have you ever tried to find a good story on fanFiction? You have to consume loads of shit to find a pearl there.

That is true. And that is perfectly fine with me. I just don't like it when people dis-like something without telling people why they didn't like it, or what could be worked on in the story.
To me, it completly defeats the purpose of the button. It tells you that it needs work, but not what needs work.

2086170 Same with my story "Big News" or "Heated", a have a good amount of people who like it and enjoy it but as far as I know 8 or 9 people disliked them. I wish I knew who they were to ask them why? Is it because my story is bad? Or because it's a FlutterMac and that's not their preferred ship? Or other reasons? I'd like to know to make improvements if needed
